Energy Saver App prize draw and competition terms and conditions

Dates, restrictions and method of entry

  1. Entrants to the prize draw or competition will be automatically drawn from a list of app users that meet the requirements. Winners must agree to the following terms and if they do not the Energy Saver App project team may withdraw the prize and select another winner.
  2. The Energy Saver App project team is based at Oxfordshire County Council and can be contacted via help@energysaverapp.com    Please specify the details of the particular month of the prize draw or competition if you contact us.
  3. Only one entry is permitted per resident.
  4. Prize draws and competitions are open to all UK residents aged 18 years or over, except employees of the Energy Saver App and their immediate family and any third parties directly associated with the administration of the prize draw or competition. 
  5. Three winners drawn at random will receive £225 each month, drawn from a list of users of the app that meet the requirements in September to December 2024

Requirements for valid entry, prizes and judging 

  1. Entries must have downloaded the Energy Saver App, registered and provided smart meter consent by connecting their smart meter to the app, and agreed to be part of the trial. Entrants must also have used the app at least once in the month of the prize draw. 
  2. Entrants who did not agree to participate in the trial at point of registration can do so by contacting us at help@energysaverapp.com
  3. No responsibility is accepted for late entries or failure to successfully connect the app.
  4. Any electronic means of repeated entry is strictly prohibited.
  5. Winners will be contacted within 10 days of the draw or judging via the email address provided on their app.  The Promoter reserves the right to request proof of identity, age and address.  In the event that the winner is unable to provide proof of identity and age in a reasonably acceptable format, the Promoter may withdraw the prize and select another winner.
  6. Winners will have 10 days from the date the communication is sent to respond and claim their prize, after which time a re-draw will take place and the prize will be allocated to a new winner.
  7. Prize draw winners will be drawn at random from all entry forms.  Competition winners will be randomly drawn from all app users that meet the criteria. 
  8. Prizes will be paid as a cash prize via bank transfer. The Energy Saver App project team reserves the right to replace prizes with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control makes it necessary to do so.
  9. The Energy Saver App project team reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the prize draw or competition, including these terms, where it becomes necessary to do so.  The Energy Saver App project team will provide as much notice as is reasonably practicable of any such changes, but its decision is final and binding on the entrants and no correspondence will be entered into in this regard. 

Copyright, publicity and your details 

  1. We will publish or make available information that indicates that we have selected a winner on our website and social media. We reserve our right to publish the winner’s surname, county of residence subject to the participants objecting to such publication to safeguard their right to privacy. 
  2. The Energy Saver App project team may ask you to participate at your discretion in publicity related to the prize draw or competition which may include the publication of your name and photograph, image or text in any media.
  3. If you do not wish to participate in the prize draw, please notify us via help@energysaverapp.com
